PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distal-end-deflectable/movable catheter that includes a hub joint part having excellent hub joining strength at a proximal end of the catheter, preventing the catheter tube from being easily torn, having excellent airtightness and having favorable workability, and joining method of the hub for catheter.SOLUTION: Wire rods 90 and 92 are inserted respectively into wire lumens 28a and 29a formed at a proximal end 2b of a sheath body 2. The proximal end of the sheath body 2 is enlarged at positions of the wire lumens 28a and 29b in which the wire rods 90 and 92 are inserted, to form a diameter-enlarged portion 2b1. A tip 72 of a hub 70 in which a locking protrusion 78 is formed at an outer peripheral part is inserted into the interior of a main lumen 21 of the diameter-enlarged portion 2b1.
