An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus according to an embodiment includes an acquisition unit, an estimation unit, a first calculation unit, a setting unit, a second calculation unit, and an output control unit. The acquisition unit acquires a plurality of volume data in which a region including a ventricle of a subject is imaged over at least one cardiac cycle. The estimation unit estimates the movement of the tissue of the ventricle using the plurality of volume data. The first calculation unit calculates the first calculation information including at least one of the wall motion information and the volume information regarding the ventricle, based on the estimation result by the estimation unit. The setting unit sets a region of interest corresponding to the valve annulus position relating to the inflow or outflow of blood flow in the ventricle. The second calculation unit calculates second calculation information regarding the size or shape of the region of interest based on the estimation result by the estimation unit.
