An X-ray generator according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a thermionic emission X-ray generator for generating a negative high voltage and a filament current, a field emission type X-ray generator for grounding an anode electrode and biasing a cathode electrode using the negative high voltage, and a field emission current control part for converting the filament current into an output voltage provided to the gate electrode of the field emission X-ray generator and converting the filament current to fix the level of an emission current flowing through the cathode to a predetermined level. The field emission type X-ray generator can be stably driven.본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 엑스선 발생기는, 음의 고전압 및 필라멘트 전류를 생성하는 열전자 방출형 엑스선 발생기, 애노드 전극이 접지되며, 상기 음의 고전압을 사용하여 캐소드 전극을 바이어스하는 전계 전자 방출형 엑스선 발생기, 그리고 상기 필라멘트 전류를 변환하여 상기 전계 전자 방출형 엑스선 발생기의 게이트 전극에 제공되는 출력 전압으로 생성하고, 상기 필라멘트 전류를 변환하여 상기 캐소드 전극에 흐르는 방출 전류의 레벨을 특정 레벨로 고정시키는 전계 방출 전류 제어부를 포함한다.
