The disclosure is directed to the detection, early diagnosis, determination of the severity, and treatment of Alzheimers disease (AD). A number of biomarkers and combination of biomarkers are disclosed for the determination of AD, including sTNFR2 and Abeta-42 TNFR2 and Ptau-181 sTNFR2, Abeta-42 and PTau-181 and IL-2 and Abeta oligomers.
