The subject invention describes a method of use of Rotigotine™ to alleviate and control menopausal symptoms in women, and in particular, hot flashes. The invention describes the use of Rotigotine as a dopamine agonist with affinity for the dopamine D2, D3, or D4 receptors. The use of Rotigotine provides a useful new method for treatment of menopausal symptoms that are most disruptive to the functioning in activities of daily living.
