A method and apparatus for producing a pre-fastened adjustable pant-like disposable absorbent undergarment including a fully or partially severed front body panel is disclosed. The method includes the steps of providing a moving web and passes through a fastener attachment station to define a leading portion of the moving web and a trailing portion of the moving web at a location under the fastener assembly. The moving web is then passed through a laser cutting station to cut to web, such that the leading portion and trailing portion remains bridged together by the fastener assembly without damaging the fastener assembly.Linvention concerne un procédé et un appareil permettant de produire un sous-vêtement pré-fixé jetable de type culotte ajustable absorbant comportant un panneau de corps avant entièrement ou partiellement séparé. Le procédé comprend les étapes consistant à utiliser une bande en mouvement et à la faire passer par un poste dattache de fixations pour définir une partie avant de la bande en mouvement et une partie arrière de la bande en mouvement, au niveau dun emplacement sous lensemble de fixation. La bande en mouvement est ensuite passée dans un poste de découpe au laser pour couper la bande, de sorte que la partie avant et la partie arrière demeurent reliées lune à lautre par lensemble de fixation sans endommager lensemble de fixation.
