PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find solid state properties useful to cellobiose lipid, to develop the new usage of the cellobiose lipid, and to effectively utilize the cellobiose lipid in a variety of fields.SOLUTION: In the fields of cosmetics, food, chemicals, agriculture, adhesives, paint, resin or the like, the cellobiose lipid is used as an organo-gelled agent, a thickener and a viscosity adjusting agent on the basis of the capability of the low-molecular organogel formation of the cellobiose lipid which is newly found.
