A sterilization device includes a base seat and a portable container. The base seat includes a base body, a circuit board, a light sensor electrically connected to the circuit board, and a UV light generator electrically connected to the circuit board. The portable container is detachably disposed on the base body and includes a hollow body and a light-transmissive board. The hollow body and the light-transmissive board cooperatively surround a containing space therebetween. When the portable container is mounted on the base body, the light sensor is covered by the portable container without receiving an environmental light, thus the UV light generator is driven by the circuit board to generate an UV light for sterilization of the containing space.
