The invention relates to agriculture, in particular to methods and devices for main and surface tillage in presowing period, including preparation of seed bed for plants and sprigs. The method of main tillage and preparation of seed bed is implemented using a device comprising working members mounted on a frame in the form of disks or legs arranged on supports and adapted for lifting and lowering relative to the frame in case of an obstacle, the disks and legs are provided by at least one main elastic element disposed between and/or the frame and each working member at one side of the oscillation axis of a working member. The device is provided with at least one additional elastic element, each is (are) connected to the main elastic element by means of a turning mechanism embodied as rod(s), the upper and lower parts of which have a rotatable pin(s), wherein one pin of the turning mechanism is connected to an additional elastic element and another is connected to the main elastic element and a post via a support element, wherein the post has, at least, one breakable catch for overloads conditions. The device is used for soil breaking by working members mounted on the frame and on the posts, the soil is mixed forming mulch favorable for growing plants using active autovibration of legs and/or disks.
