The atomizing assembly (160) comprises: a liquid-absorbing element (164) connected to the liquid reservoir (150), wherein the liquid-absorbing element (164) is made of porous ceramic, and has a liquid-absorbing surface (1642) for absorbing the e-liquid and an atomizing surface (1652); and a heating element (166) embedded in the liquid-absorbing element (164), wherein the edge of the heating element (166) is internally tangent to the atomizing surface (1652), and the heating element (166) is used for converting the e-liquid absorbed by the liquid-absorbing element (164) into smoke. The electronic cigarette further comprises a power supply assembly (180) received in the shell (120), connected to the atomizing assembly (160), and used for supplying power for the heating element (166).
