It may be desirable to sequentially administer two substances from a single assembly, where the assembly is a combination of delivery devices capable of independently delivering the respective substances alone. Such a solution is found in an infusion assembly (100) having a stopper piston (200) capable of coupling a first infusion device (10) with a second infusion device (20). The stopper piston is configured to facilitate a two-stage seating arrangement in which a plunger is capable of being advanced to sequentially dispense a first and second substance from the infusion assembly. A nozzle of the second infusion device is moved from a first seating position to a second seating position to achieve dispense of the two substances in a sequential manner.
