The present invention relates to an antibacterial composition for oral cavity containing a quince extract as an active ingredient. Specifically, the quince extract of the present invention has excellent physiological activities and thermal stability, and shows outstanding antibacterial effects against oral bacteria. Therefore, the quince extract can be used as an antibacterial agent for inhibiting oral bacteria, while increasing applicability of quince by using abandoned quince as a resource.본 발명은 모과 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 구강 항균용 조성물에 관한 것으로, 상세하게는 본 발명의 모과 추출물은 생리활성이 우수하고, 열 안정성을 가지며, 구강 세균에 대한 우수한 항균효과를 나타낸다. 따라서 모과 추출물은 구강세균 억제용 항균제로의 사용이 가능하며, 폐기되는 모과 자원을 이용함으로써 모과의 활용성을 증대시킬수 있다.
