The present invention relates to an artificial light source in a closed system for plant production and a method of cultivating lettuce by using photoperiod thereof. The method of cultivating lettuce of the present invention provides the optimal wavelength of the artificial light source and photoperiod to make the efficiency of the lettuce cultivation superior, so that the method of cultivating lettuce can be useful in a closed system for plant production.본 발명은 밀폐형 식물생산 시스템에서 인공광원과 이의 광주기를 이용한 상추 재배방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 상추 재배방법은 상추 생육을 위한 인공광원의 최적 파장대와 광주기를 제공하여 상추 재배 효율을 우수하게 함으로써, 대규모 밀폐형 식물생산 시스템에 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
