PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily-handleable smoking type insecticide having low fouling property and high insecticidal effect, capable of giving a feeling of actual effect to a user, and to provide a smoking type insecticidal device and an insecticidal method using the smoking type insecticide.SOLUTION: The smoking type insecticide contains (A) a polyol and (B) an effective insecticidal component. Preferably, the smoking type insecticide does not contain an autoreactive heat-generating base agent. The smoking type insecticidal device is formed by arranging the smoking type insecticide and a heat generation part for generating heat of 150-450°C across a heat transfer part. In the insecticidal method, the smoking type insecticide is heated at 150-450°C.
