PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for simplifying an injection procedure for performing intravitreal injection and accurately and atraumatically injecting drugs into an eye.SOLUTION: An injection device 1600 for delivering a pharmaceutical composition into the eye includes a resistance component for controllably deploying an injection needle through an eye wall. The resistance component is disposed on the injection device, on a part of a housing of the injection device, and on a drug reservoir. Some devices are removably attached to the drug reservoir, for example, through a luer connector. Other devices comprise an internal luer seal for fixedly connecting a drug conduit of the device to a lure cavity of the drug reservoir.
