PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope for which a relative rotational position between an insertion section and an operation section can be grasped in the feeling of force.
SOLUTION: This endoscope includes the insertion section, the operation section, a connecting section, and power quantity changing mechanisms 43 and 46. In this case, the insertion section has a distal end section and a proximal end section. The operation section is installed on the proximal end section of the insertion section. The connecting section relatively rotatably connects the insertion section with the operation section. The power quantity changing mechanisms 43 and 46 change a power quantity required for the relative rotation between the insertion section and the operation section in response to the relative rotational position between the insertion section and the operation section.
