The bale support (12.r.1, 12.r.2, 14.r) can be moved from a bale receiving position into a bale depositing position. The bale support (12.r.1, 12.r.2, 14.r) being in the bale depositing position has a lateral offset to a vertical center plane (P) of the bale forming device (40) and is entirely positioned on one side of the plane (P). A bale (B.2) is moved on the bale support (12.r.1, 12.r.2, 14.r) being in the bale receiving position and is wrapped. The wrapped bale (B.2) is deposited from the bale support (12.r.1, 12.r.2, 14.r) being in the bale depositing position on the ground.
