PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable packaged beverage filled in a hermetically sealed container which retains flavor and characteristics intrinsic to the beverage and suppressed in production of turbidity, precipitation or flocculation during long period preservation.
SOLUTION: The stable hermetically packaged beverage is provided by using a stabilizing agent which contains octenylsuccinate starch as active ingredient. The stabilizing agent for the hermetically packaged beverage is applied especially to non foaming acid beverage such as tea beverage and ceramide or collagen peptide-containing beverage. The stable packaged beverage is suppressed in production of turbidity, precipitation or flocculation during long period preservation while retaining flavor and characteristics intrinsic to the beverage by including octenylsuccinate starch with the stabilizing agent.
