PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a treated person from being caught in a chair type massage machine having a built-in treatment mechanism movable in the vertical direction in a backrest, performing treatment such as rubbing massage and tapping massage with treatment elements mounted at the distal ends of a pair of left and right treatment arms in the treatment mechanism by the oscillation of the treatment arms in the cross direction, forward/backward or in the vertical direction, and selecting the massage strength by erecting the treatment arms from parallel to perpendicular to the backrest face by a massage power selection mechanism in the treatment mechanism.SOLUTION: The massage machine has an extrusion member 49 disposed on the proximal end side from the treatment elements 23 and under the treatment elements 23 in a strong mode in which the treatment arms 41 are erected vertically from the treatment mechanism 24. If the treatment mechanism 24 is lowered unintentionally in the strong mode, the shoulders 45a of the treated person 45 are extruded by the extrusion member 49. Accordingly, even if the treated person 45 with thin upper body such as a small-sized elderly or child is seated, catching of the treated person 45 can be mechanically prevented.COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT【課題】背もたれに上下方向に移動可能な施療機構を内蔵し、前記施療機構における左右一対の施療アームが、幅、前後、上下方向に揺動することで、その略先端に設けられた施療子がモミ動作やタタキ動作等の施療を行うとともに、前記施療機構における強弱切換え機構が施療アームを背もたれ面と略平行から略垂直に起立させることでマッサージ強度を調整することができる椅子式マッサージ機において、施療者の挟み込みを防止する。【解決手段】施療アーム41が施療機構24から略垂直に起立している強状態で、施療子23より基端側で、施療子23よりも下方に押し出し部材49を設け、前記強状態で不所望に施療機構24が下降してしまうと、施療者45の肩45aを前記押し出し部材49で押し出す。これによって、小柄な老人や子供などの上半身の薄い施療者45が座っていても、前記施療者45の挟み込みをメカ的に防止することができる。【選択図】図9
