One embodiment provides an instrument (100) including an infusion sleeve(102), aspiration tube (108), and infusion/aspirationtip (104). The sleeve can include a body defining an infusion channel (103).The tube can be in the infusion channeland define an aspiration channel (105). The tip can conform to the distal endof the tube. The tip can seal a gap between thesleeve and tube and can include a flange (114) with a profile (e.g., a taperedportion) corresponding to the profile of the sleeve.The sleeve and tip can be keyed such that the sleeve directs fluid in onedirection and the tip draws fluid perpendicularly from thatdirection. The tip's aspiration channel can extend distally beyond itsaspiration port (110). The tip can extend to a point adjacent toan infusion port (106) of the sleeve. A disposable component (including anaspiration tube and infusion/aspiration tip) for usewith instruments is provided.
