A clamping cone (3) is abutting on an abutment element (4,3614) and has a clamping opening (33) to accommodate a wire and outer surfaces (300) that are inclined to the longitudinal axis and which are encompassed with the inclined sections (263) of the locking element (2). Upon axial displacement of the locking element (2) relative to the clamping cone (3) a radial force is exerted onto the clamping cone (3) leading to a reduction of the diameter of the clamping opening (33) such that a radial force results onto a wire or the pin inserted in the clamping opening.
