PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor for a cord type brush cutter in which a brush cutting cord body can easily be mounted.SOLUTION: A rotor 100 for a cord type brush cutter includes a cylindrical brush cutting cord storage unit 110 opened toward the outside in the radial direction in an outer edge of a disc-shaped base body 101. The brush cutting cord storage unit 110 is a cylindrical portion for making a brush cutting cord body penetrate in a folded state and in a state of exposing a bent part in the brush cutting cord body of this folded state to the center side of the base body 101 and storing it, and is constituted of a bottom plate, two struts 112 and a top plate 113. The bottom plate is metallic plate-like parts constituting the bottom of the brush cutting cord storage unit 110, and is formed in a shape of a ring of diameter smaller than the base body 101. The struts 112 are constituted of cylindrical objects each being set in the width and height for maintaining the folded state of the folded brush cutting cord body, respectively.
