PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the activity of physiological changes by an optical measuring apparatus for a living body.SOLUTION: In the apparatus, appropriate measurement/analysis parameters are set in accordance with the physiological change as the target of measurement. In measuring a gustatory function, a period during which the physiological change as the target of measurement does not occur is set not to include the period of 60 seconds after the beginning of stimulation. The period of an activity analysis is set to include the period of 16 seconds to 25 seconds after the beginning of stimulation to a concentration variation signal of oxygenated hemoglobin and to include the period of 28 seconds to 37 seconds after the beginning of stimulation to a concentration variation signal of deoxygenated hemoglobin.
