A flow generator for generating a flow of breathable air to be delivered to a patient for treatment of sleep disordered breathing. The flow generator includes a housing (7020) having an air flow inlet (7027-1, 7027-2) and an airflow outlet (7029). A blower is provided within the housing and structured to generate a flow of pressurized breathable air. An air filter cartridge (7070-1, 7070-2) is provided to the air flow inlet to filter air drawn into the housing by the blower. The air filter cartridge includes a cartridge body (7072) and a filter media supported by the cartridge body. The cartridge body includes structure to direct airflow away from a blower inlet of the blower.
