<;P>;PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanning laser ophthalmoscope for detecting the driving of scanning mirrors during scanning an eyeground. <;P>;SOLUTION: The scanning laser ophthalmoscope includes: a horizontal direction scanning mirror 3; a vertical direction scanning mirror 4; an image constructing photodetector 15; an eyeground image constructing circuit 16; a scanning light reflection mirror 11 for detecting driving, which is arranged between an eye E to be examined and both the scanning mirrors 3, 4, and has a transmission window 12 for allowing scanning laser light P by the both scanning mirrors to pass toward the eye E to be examined and a reflection surface 13 for reflecting the scanning laser light P toward both the scanning mirrors in the middle of a path to the eye E to be examined; and a fault detection determining circuit 17 for determining whether the respective scanning mirrors being driven have faults or not, based on the light reception output of the image constructing photodetector 15. <;P>;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
