The present invention relates to a drive mechanism for a drug delivery device for dispensing of a dose of a medicament, and to a respective drug delivery device, wherein the drive mechanism comprises: - an elongated housing (30) extending in an axial direction (1, 2), - a piston rod (80) to operably engage with a piston (16) of a cartridge (14) to displace the piston (16) in axial distal direction (1), - a drive sleeve (60) extending in axial direction (1, 2) and being rotatably supported in the housing (30), - a dose setting member (40) rotatably supported on a side wall portion (31) of the housing (30) and being rotatable with respect to an axis (41) extending in radial direction (r), - wherein the drive sleeve (60) is operably releasable from the piston rod (80) and rotatably engageable with the dose setting member (40) for setting of the dose.La présente invention concerne un mécanisme dentraînement pour un dispositif dadministration de médicament pour administrer une dose dun médicament, et un dispositif dadministration de médicament respectif, le mécanisme dentraînement comprenant : - un boîtier allongé (30) sétendant dans une direction axiale (1, 2), - une tige de piston (80) à mettre en prise de façon fonctionnelle avec un piston (16) dune cartouche (14) pour déplacer le piston (16) dans la direction distale axiale (1), - un manchon dentraînement (60) sétendant dans la direction axiale (1, 2) et porté rotatif dans le boîtier (30), - un élément de réglage de dose (40) supporté de façon rotative sur une partie paroi latérale (31) du boîtier (30) et pouvant tourner par rapport à un axe (41) sétendant dans une direction radiale (r), - le manchon dentraînement (60) pouvant être libéré de façon fonctionnelle de la tige de piston (80) et pouvant venir en prise de façon rotative avec lélément de réglage de dose (40) pour régler la dose.
