PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which can suppress deterioration of the touch to a skin while ensuring sufficient joint strength in a joining part of a side sheet and obtains excellent wearing feeling.SOLUTION: A pair of right and left side sheets 7 are provided for the entire length of both side parts of a skin abutting surface side. The inside of the side sheet 7 in a width direction is laminated in plural layers by folding in the width direction. On a laminated part 8 of the side sheet 7, a lower layer side embossment part 9 for joining the side sheet 7 of an undermost layer and a surface sheet 3 and a skin side embossment part 10 where the side sheet 7 of the laminated part 8 is integrally dented from the skin abutting surface side are formed.
