PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sphygmomanometer including an arm belt section that can automatically start a pressurizing operation for measuring a blood pressure even when a subject to be measured does not operate a start switch after wearing the arm belt section around the upper arm.SOLUTION: This sphygmomanometer 1 includes the arm belt section 2 having a blood-flow cutoff air bag 14 that is worn around the upper arm T of the subject to be measured and pressurizes the upper arm to cut off the blood flow and a sphygmomanometer body 10 adapted to feed air to the blood-flow cutoff air bag 14 when pressurizing the upper arm T.
