PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ear thermometer capable of enhancing the reproducibility of a measuring result.SOLUTION: The ear thermometer 100 includes a temperature detection element and an infrared detection element and constituted so as to measure the body temperature of a subject using the environmental temperature detected by the temperature detection element and the relative temperature detected by the infrared detection element. This ear thermometer 100 is equipped with a probe 101 formed into a hollow cylindrical body to be inserted into an aural cavity and mounting units 102 and 104 having mounting features 106-108 for mounting the probe 101 on a finer of a measurer and supporting the probe 101 so that the support position of the probe 101 is opposed to the palmar surface of the distal phalanx of the measuring person in a case that the probe 101 is mounted on the finger of the measurer using the mounting features 106-108 and a contact detection unit 121 having a plurality of sensors are continuously arranged over the range from the tip surface of the probe 101 to the outer peripheral surface thereof.
