PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capsule endoscope which has attained miniaturization, wider angle, and wider light distribution.SOLUTION: The capsule endoscope comprises: object lenses 4 transparent domes 2 covering the respective object sides of the object lenses 4 and light emitting elements 5 disposed on the peripheral portions of the object lenses 4. In the capsule endoscope, the two object lenses 4 are arranged one behind the other, the transparent dome 2 is arranged so as to cover the objective side of the object lenses 4, and the light emitting elements 5 are arranged on the peripheral portions of the object lenses 4.
