The present invention relates to a vaccine composition for preventing tuberculosis comprising a Rv3112 protein. The composition exhibits high IFN-&gamma； productivity in a spleen and a lung of an animal model having infection induced by mycobacterium tuberculosis and can effectively prevent tuberculosis due to rapidly forming acquired protective immunity and maintaining memory of T-cells in the case of using a Rv3112 protein as an antigen according to the present invention. In addition, the Rv3112 protein according to the present invention prevents relapse or reinfection of highly pathogenic tuberculosis having high relapse rate and can be helpfully used in increasing treatment efficiency because of using them when treating tuberculosis.본 발명은 Rv3112 단백질을 포함하는 결핵 예방용 백신 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 Rv3112 단백질을 항원으로 이용할 경우, 결핵균에 의한 감염을 유발시킨 동물모델의 비장과 폐에서 높은 IFN-γ 생성능을 나타내며, 빠른 후천적 방어면역의 형성과 T 세포의 기억화를 유지시켜줌으로써 결핵을 효과적으로 예방할 수 있다. 또한, 본 발명에 따른 Rv3112 단백질은 결핵의 치료 시에도 사용 가능하여 재발율이 높은 고병원성 결핵의 재발 또는 재감염을 예방하고 치료 효율을 높이는 데 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
