PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition having rotavirus infection preventing action.SOLUTION: The composition against infection with rotavirus is a microfiltration retentate of whey, a product obtained by treating whey using centrifugation and/or ammonium sulfate precipitation, or a dehydrated product thereof. The micropore diameter of a microfiltration membrane ranges from 0.004 to 1.4 &mum. The centrifugal force in centrifugation ranges from 300 to 30,000 g. The saturation level in ammonium sulfate precipitation ranges from 30 to 100%. The whey is centrifuged/purified and adjusted to approximately neutral pH (6.8-7.2), and then, treated with the microfiltration membrane.
