The present invention relates to a process for manufacturing stable and monodisperse biocompatible bismuth metallic (0) nanoparticles, in aqueous solution, using a water-soluble bismuth precursor, a water-soluble reducing agent and a coating agent. The process can be carried out in continuous flow. The invention also relates to corresponding stable biocompatible bismuth metallic (0) nanoparticles having hydrophilic, hydrophobic or fluorophilic properties and uses thereof, especially medical applications thereof such as theranostic applications.La présente invention concerne un procédé de fabrication de nanoparticules de bismuth métallique (0) biocompatibles stables et monodispersées, en solution aqueuse, à l'aide d'un précurseur de bismuth soluble dans l'eau, d'un agent réducteur soluble dans l'eau et d'un agent de revêtement. Le procédé peut être réalisé en flux continu. L'invention concerne également des nanoparticules de bismuth métallique (0) biocompatibles stables correspondantes ayant des propriétés hydrophiles, hydrophobes ou fluorophiles et leurs utilisations, en particulier des applications médicales de celles-ci telles que des applications théranostiques.
