PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upper body support device whose wearing feeling is satisfactory.SOLUTION: An upper body support device 10 comprises: inclination plates 24 and ratchet plates 26； turning plates 30 each of which is supported so as to displace freely to one side and the other side with respect to the ratchet plate 26； and support arms 36 each of which is supported by the turning plate 30, extends along an arm of the user, and has an arm pad 46 which supports the arm of the user. The upper body support device 10 further comprises lock pieces 38 for regulating displacement of the turning plate 30 to the other side, so that the arms of the user are supported by the arm pads 46.
