PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector exhibiting excellent sealability and injection properties, and a valve element for a connector to be used in the connector.SOLUTION: A connector 1 includes a connector tube 3 and a valve element 5 for a connector. The connector tube 3 includes a tubular housing part 11 with a channel 21 communication parts 12 and 13 whose diameter is smaller than the inner diameter of the tubular housing part 11 and which are opened at both ends of the channel 21 and an injection part 14 opened on the peripheral surface of the channel 21. The valve element 5 for the connector includes an outer peripheral surface 34 and openings 32a and 32b to be housed in the connector tube 3 in such a way that the outer peripheral surface 34 is closely in contact with an inner peripheral surface 28 of the tubular housing part 11 and that the openings 32a and 32b are closely in contact with inner surfaces 26a and 26b of the tubular housing part 11. The posture of the connector 1 can be shifted to a sealed posture in which the inner peripheral surface 28 and the inner surfaces 26a and 26b are closely in contact with each other and to an opened posture in which a head 18 is retracted to the tubular housing part 11.
