An eye patch (10) includes a single layer substrate (12) comprising a sheet of material having a first region (16) and a second region (18). An outer edge (14) extends around the substrate (12) and a slit (22) extends through the substrate (12) so as to form a first flap (28) and a second flap (30). A first adhesive portion (40) is applied to the substrate (12) near the first region (16) such that the first and second flaps (28, 30) each receive part of the first adhesive portion (40). A second adhesive portion (42) is applied to the substrate (12) near the second region (18), and the second adhesive portion (42) is discontinuous with the first adhesive portion (40). The first and second flaps (28, 30) are configured to be placed into an overlapping arrangement and adhered together by the first adhesive portion (40) to give the eye patch (10) a generally cupped shape.
