PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide wire facilitating fastening a tip fastening part to the tip of a coil body, and making the tip fastening part hardly come off from the tip of the coil body.SOLUTION: In a guide wire, both fixation portion 70 and gap part 60 are provided on the tip of a coil body 20, and consequently, it is possible to reduce a risk that a plurality of element wires 30 constituting the coil body are released, and even when using a brazing material or a metal solder which is easy to flow (good wettability) for a tip fastening part, it is possible to reduce a risk that the tip fastening part flows into a rear end side along the surfaces of the plurality of element wires. Furthermore, the tip fastening part is inserted into the gap part, the tensile strength of the tip fastening part can be strengthened, and when an external force is added to the tip of the coil body, it is possible to reduce a risk that the tip fastening part comes off from the tip of the coil body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2【課題】先端固着部をコイル体の先端に容易に固着することができ、かつ、先端固着部がコイル体の先端から抜けにくいガイドワイヤを提供する。【解決手段】ガイドワイヤにおいて、コイル体２０の先端に、固定部７０と隙間部６０との両方を設けられているため、コイル体を構成する複数の素線３０が解れる恐れを低減することができ、かつ、先端固着部に流れやすい（濡れ性の良い）ロウ材や金属はんだを用いた場合であっても、先端固着部が複数の素線の表面に沿って後端側に流れ込んでしまう恐れを低減することができる。また、先端固着部が隙間部に入り込んでいるため、先端固着部の引張強度を強くすることができ、コイル体の先端に外力が加わった場合でも、先端固着部がコイル体の先端から抜けてしまう恐れを低減することができる。【選択図】図２
