The present invention provides a method of mass producing high quality water-soluble calcium oxide from oyster shells. The method of producing water-soluble calcium oxide of the present invention comprises the steps of: (a) primarily firing oyster shells in an electric furnace, cooling the primarily fired oyster shells to obtain porous oyster shells, and selecting the porous oyster shells (b) secondly firing the porous oyster shells in a high frequency furnace, cooling the secondly fired oyster shells to obtain white porous oyster shells, and selecting the white porous oyster shells and (c) removing impurities from the white porous oyster shells and pulverizing the impurity-removed white porous oyster shells to obtain a calcium oxide powder. The method according to the present invention can mass produce high quality water-soluble calcium oxide from the oyster shells with little costs. Calcium oxide produced by the method according to the present invention can be used for drinking purpose, is able to be used as a bactericidal disinfectant of food equipment such as kitchen utensils and the like, a wet tissue for infant, a raw material for eliminating red tide, a wastewater and purified water treatment agent, a soil conditioner for ginseng field or the like, a disinfectant for foot-and-mouth disease prevention and the like, and fires a mixture of loess and the calcium oxide powder to form the fired mixture into a zeolite such that the zeolite is able to be used as a water treatment agent.
