The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a soft capsule having starch as a main ingredient and to a soft capsule having starch as a main ingredient that is manufactured thereby, the manufacturing method comprising the steps of: generating mixed raw materials by mixing 50 to 70 wt% of soluble starch, 20 to 30 wt% of a viscosity adjuster and 1 to 20 wt% of a humidity adjuster together with 1-10 wt% of water； generating a raw capsule from the mixed raw materials via a seamless capsule manufacturing machine； curing the surface of the raw capsule by using a curing agent； and finishing the soft capsule by coating the cured raw capsule with coating liquid.본 발명은, 가용성 전분 50~70 중량%, 점성 조절제 20~30 중량%, 습도 조절제 1~20 중량%, 1~10 중량%를 물과 함께 혼합하는 혼합 원재료를 생성하는 단계 ； 상기 혼합 원재료를 심리스 캡슐 제조기를 통해 원조 캡슐을 생성하는 단계； 경화제를 이용하여 상기 원조 캡슐의 표면을 경화 처리하는 단계； 및 상기 경화 처리된 원조 캡슐에 코팅액을 사용하여 코팅하여 소프트 캡슐을 완성하는 단계를 포함하는, 전분을 주성분으로 하는 소프트 캡슐 제조 방법 및 이에 의해 제조된 전분을 주성분으로 하는 소프트 캡슐에 관한 것이다.
