PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin cleanser composition having excellent foaming power and rinsability, and exhibiting high sebum-cleansing properties.SOLUTION: The skin cleanser composition comprises (A) an alkyl ether carboxylic acid or a salt thereof, represented by general formula (1): R1-O-(CH2CH2O)n-CH2-COOM (1), wherein the average number of carbon atoms in R1 is 10.8-12.8, components for which n=0 exceed 9.6 mass% and comprise at most 27 mass%, and the combined total of components for which n=1 and components for which n=2 is at least 21 mass% and less than 40 mass% and (B) a polyoxyethylene alkyl sulfate or an alkyl sulfate represented by general formula (2): R2-O-(CH2CH2O)m-SO3Y (2). In general formula (1), R1 represents a 4-22C alkyl group, n represents a number of 0-20, and M represents a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal, ammonium or an organic ammonium.
