A deodorant composition which contains (A) a silicone resin powder, (B) a cationic surfactant, (C) a multi-chain nonionic surfactant and (D) ethanol. The component (B) is composed of (B1) at least one compound that is selected from among benzalkonium chloride, benzethonium chloride, cetylpyridinium chloride and dequalinium chloride and (B2) an alkyl trialkyl ammonium salt. The mass ratio of the component (B1) to the component (B2), namely (B1)/(B2) is 0.03-35, and the mass ratio of the component (B2) to the component (C), namely (B2)/(C) is 0.1-40.
