An optometric automatic test device and method for a lens are provided to perform image capturing and reading with an image analysis technique, perform automatic focusing by automated control technology rather than by the test workers operation, and enable two tests, namely refractive power test and astigmatism test, to be performed on eyeglass lenses automatically, so as to greatly reduce the errors caused by the test workers operation and enhance test efficiency.
