PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing system for use in treating a tissue site on a patient with reduced pressure, which balances strength of an adhesive on a drape with the degree of pain and disruption that may occur when removing the drape from the patient.SOLUTION: A sealing system 100 that includes a switchable drape 106 is presented. The drape provides enhanced sealing by using a high-strength adhesive 136. In one instance, the switchable drape has a plurality of perforations through which a switching solution may be delivered to the high-strength adhesive. The switching solution causes the high-strength adhesive to become less adhesive so that the switchable drape may be removed more easily.
