The water tank apparatus for a livestock barn includes: a water tank body unit which has a storage space formed therein for storing water and has the lower part of the storage space in a round shape to have a predetermined curvature in a widthwise direction； a water tank which is formed to be buried to the lower part of the ground and stores a predetermined amount of water； a water supply unit including an underground pump installed in the water tank and water supply pipes installed to be connected to the water tank body unit and the underground pump while supplying the water in the water tank into the water tank body unit； a water level sensor unit which is installed on the water tank body unit to sense the level of water filling the storage space as well as sensing a first water level at a predetermined height from the floor of the storage space and a second water level higher than the first water level； and a control unit which controls the underwater pump in accordance with sensing signals received from the water level sensor unit.
