The purpose of the present invention is to provide a medical adhesive whereby the cured medical adhesive is stable and less prone to degradation and deterioration the medical adhesive also being safe and generating little acid aldehyde or the like by degradation and deterioration. The adhesive contains a hydrophilic urethane prepolymer (UP) obtained by reacting a polyisocyanate component (A) in which a fluorine containing non aromatic polyisocyanate compound (A1) is an essential component and a polyol component (B) in which a hydrophilic polyol (B1) is an essential component the chlorine content of a chlorine containing organic compound is no more than 0.005 wt% on the basis of the weight of the hydrophilic urethane prepolymer (UP).
