PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus capable of easily positioning a mobile bed, and further to provide the bed for the magnetic resonance imaging apparatus.SOLUTION: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus comprises a pedestal and a mobile bed. The pedestal is incorporated with a magnet, a gradient magnetic field coil and a high-frequency coil. The mobile bed is positioned with respect to the pedestal at a plurality of positions different from one anther in a longitudinal direction by positioning mechanisms having configurations different from one another.
