According to an embodiment, a magnetic resonance image generating device includes: a radio frequency (RF) coil receiving a magnetic resonance (MR) signal, emitted from a target； a sampling pattern determining part determining a sampling pattern of a space k based on the sensitivity of the RF coil and signal area information, which is information about a signal area in which the MR signal is generated from the target； and a digital data obtaining part sampling the MR signal based on the determined sampling pattern to obtain digital data of the space k.
