A use of an active component in the manufacture of a skin care product is provided. The active component is selected from a group consisting of a compound of formula (I), a compound of formula (II), a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or ester of the compound of formula (I), a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or ester of the compound of formula (II), and combinations thereof: wherein, R1, R2, R3, and R4 are independently H, -OH, or C1-6 alkyl and n is an integer ranging from 1 to 20.
