PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bioabsorbable implant having a mechanical strength to be hardly broken in filling into a living body, and exhibiting an excellent bone combining capability as quickly degraded and absorbed in the living body after the filling.SOLUTION: The bioabsorbable implant has a frame part formed between large-diameter pores whose average pore diameter is 100-200 &mum. The frame part is made of bioabsorbable ceramics, and the ratio of the volume of fine pores whose pore diameter is less than 5 &mum to the volume of the whole pores is at least 20%. The frame part has a front surface layer with particles of the bioabsorbable ceramics arranged in contact with one another on the surface. The method for manufacturing the bioabsorbable implant includes: a step of preparing granules of bioabsorbable ceramics a step of obtaining a granule mixture by mixing the granules with flammable organic particles a step of obtaining a compact by press-molding the granule mixture and a step of baking the compact. The tap-filling density of the granules is at least 20% and less than 30% of the theoretical density.
