PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for satisfactorily acquiring an optical coefficient of the background of a subject in photoacoustic tomography.SOLUTION: A subject information acquisition device includes an element 203 for receiving an acoustic wave generated when light is irradiated to a subject 204 and outputting an electric signal, and an information acquisition part 208 for acquiring an optical coefficient inside the subject using the electric signal.
